Architects Association of Greater Noida (AAGN) organized UDGAM 2024, an event for Architects, on 27th March 2024. UDGAM, meaning origin, showcased the work and design philosophy of talented young architects of the region. The event was supported by Somany Ceramics Ltd. The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and a welcome address by the President AAGN Col Anuj Srivastava (Retd) who brought out the fact that sustainability is no more an option but a necessity. The presentations covered a wide range of projects, from Airports, retrofitting of existing buildings, Sustainable architecture and Interiors and were presented by young architects Rahi Nagpal, Mahesh Singh Jadon, Christopher Paul, Devendra Mangal, Gaurav Kapoor and Ravi Krishna.
The presentation was followed by a panel discussion by senior Architects W. Sukhbir Singh, Gaurav Saini, Sheily Shrivastav, Audrish Chakravarty, Anuj Srivastava and Mr. Sujit Mohanty (Sr. VP, Somany). The discussants gave their views on the presentation and a roadmap for sustainable development in the upcoming city of Greater Noida.
The event was attended by more than 100 prominent architects of Noida & Greater Noida.
One of the highlights of the evening was an interesting and interactive quiz conceptualized and executed by Anuj Srivastava. The questions were based on Architecture and Greater Noida, both of which ignited the minds of the audience. The questions were engaging and kept the audience on their toes. The prizes for winners included vouchers from Hotel Radisson Blu, Greater Noida and hampers from Somany.
